Mr. Powers is a managing director and a senior member of PIMCO’s portfolio management and investment strategy groups in the Newport Beach office. Prior to joining PIMCO in 1991, he was with Salomon Brothers and before that, with Bear Stearns as senior managing director specialising in mortgage-backed securities. He has 25 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton.
